Do you feel sick and tired of drinking too much alcohol?  Does every time you have one drink, it just leads to another and another until you find yourself in the same old trap drinking too much alcohol?

Do you wake up the next morning and regret the events of the night before?  Have you ever felt that you are trapped in a never ending vicious cycle of drinking every day?

Do you want to stop, but deep down you want to keep drinking?

 

Are you worried about drinking too much alcohol?

The problem lies in the subconscious mind.  The problem is caused by the long term advertising and promotion of alcohol.  False messages are subconsciously being implanted at the deepest levels of our minds, and we are not even aware what has happened.

You are not alone!  We have all been programmed to believe the cultural conditioning about drinking too much alcohol.  We all have a subconscious program deep within all of us, that alcohol is somehow acceptable.  What we need to do is to change that programming, to be able to truly accept, at all levels of our conscious and subconscious minds that drinking too much alcohol is harmful.  We need to learn that living without alcohol is actually better for our health, wealth and happiness.

 

Drink in Moderation!

We have just established that alcohol is a poisonous and addictive drug.  We now know that is not safe for young people to consume because it can have harmful consequences.  Then why is perfectly okay to promote and sell alcohol to adults?

 

But can we Drink in Moderation?

Is it true that so long as the words “Drink in Moderation” are added to your alcohol promotional campaign then obviously everything will be okay?   Except that drinking too much alcohol is addictive!  And it is a drug that has negative consequences on our lives after drinking it.

 

What does medical advice say about drinking too much alcohol?

The most common advice for drinking too much alcohol is simply “to cut back.”Drinking too much Alcohol?

If we could simply avoid the alcohol trap by reducing the amount of alcohol that we drink, then there wouldn’t be a problem.  If expert advice tells us it is okay to keep drinking alcohol, but all you have to do is cut back.  Then why do they have to keep on telling us the same message?  It just isn’t working.

It is not safe to play around the fire if you are afraid of getting burnt.  Likewise it is not safe to get close to the jaws of the alcohol trap, for fear of falling in.

Have you ever noticed how defensive people are when asked whether they drink too much, or if they have a drinking problem?  “Of course not!” is what we all say, because we are in denial.

Why do people get so defensive and so private around their alcohol habit?

The answer is because they are afraid that they might have to stop.

And this fear will drive people to say and do the most irrational things!

 

Are you afraid you might have to stop drinking?

If you don’t believe how defensive people can be about their drinking habit, just ask why they like to drink alcohol.  Invariably they will state that even drinking too much alcohol is harmless, and the only reason they drink is because they enjoy alcohol.

What will happen if one day our health deteriorates, or we need to lose weight, or we need to stop drinking temporarily?  Or worst case scenario, what will we do one day if we get the dreaded message from our doctor?  The message to stop drinking completely for the sake of our health?

 

What Happens when you Have to Stop Drinking?

Could you do it?

What steps could we take now to avoid falling off the cliff at some point in the future?  What steps could we take now to avoid damaging our future health?

 

We need to Change the way we Think

So how does this relate to making a lasting change in our attitudes towards drinking, and in the quest to stop drinking completely?  How can you change the way you think about drinking alcohol?

Essentially this means that at our very core, we need to believe that drinking alcohol is addictive and damaging to our health, wealth and happiness.

 

There is a way to change how we think about alcohol

You can believe in your subconscious mind that it is completely unnecessary to continue to drink alcohol.  You can learn to believe that you are far better off by not drinking too much alcohol.  And when we believe, then we can look for new opportunities in our lives and to be free from the alcohol trap.

You can learn to believe in our subconscious mind that drinking alcohol is a threat to our health.  And when you believe at the deepest levels of your core belief system, then your subconscious mind will help to protect you from the desire to drink alcohol.
